What it is
MealMargin is a meal cost and profit calculator. You enter ingredients, packaging and a selling price; it shows your direct cost, profit per serving and margin before labour and overhead.
Who it's for
Meal-prep businesses, home food businesses, caterers, small restaurants, cloud kitchens, food trucks, private chefs and small cafés — anyone who'd otherwise work this out on a spreadsheet or the back of an invoice.
What it isn't
It's not a POS, inventory system, accounting package or restaurant management platform. If a feature doesn't help you understand or improve the profit of a meal, we leave it out.

From you. We don't estimate prices. Every formula is published on How calculations work.
Why it exists
Most small food businesses price by feel: what the café down the road charges, plus a bit. Then ingredient prices creep up and the margin quietly disappears. A spreadsheet can fix that, but it takes an evening to build and breaks the first time you add a meal. MealMargin is that spreadsheet, done once, done carefully, and quick enough to use at the counter.
