For one meal: box, lid, label, cutlery, bag.
Platform or payment fees, delivery share — for one meal.
What one customer pays, before any sales tax or VAT.
How many portions does this recipe make? Costs above are for the whole recipe.

Getting the numbers right
- Use what you actually pay
- Take prices from your latest receipt or invoice, not from memory. Include delivery charges from suppliers if you pay them.
- Pack price and amount used
- Bought a 5 kg bag of rice for $12 and use 600 g? Enter both and MealMargin works out the $1.44.
- Pinches and splashes
- Salt, oil and spices are hard to measure per meal. Add one small line, such as $0.10–$0.25 per serving, so they aren't counted as free.
- What counts as packaging
- Container, lid, label, bag, napkin, cutlery: anything that leaves with the meal. Add card or platform fees as “other costs” per serving.
